Reception
Wow. Time really does fly when you're learning and having fun! Can you believe we’re already in our final half term of Reception?
This half term, our main topic is Explorers. We'll be asking: What is an explorer? Our learning will take us on exciting journeys as we explore transport, the seaside, the jungle, the desert, and even space! We'll be comparing similarities and differences in each environment, all from the comfort of our classroom.
Using our growing phonics knowledge and red words, we’ll develop further our sentence writing and other literacy skills while having lots of fun and enjoying every step of our learning journey.
In Maths we will be focusing upon sharing, grouping, visualising, building, mapping and making connections.
We’ll also continue our wonderful music lessons with Mrs. Higson, and in P.E. with Coach Josh, we’ll be developing our gross motor skills, turn-taking, simple movement patterns, and throwing and catching.
