Welcome to the Reception page!
We are now halfway through our very first year at Ribble Drive, and what an amazing journey it has been so far.
We have absolutely loved getting to know each of you and your families, and watching you settle into school life with such confidence and enthusiasm. It has been a joy to see how much you have all grown already — in your learning, your friendships and your independence. We are so proud of everything you have achieved this year, and we can’t wait to see the progress you will continue to make as we move through the rest of the year together.
This term our focus is Twisted Tales! We will be exploring traditional fairytales with exciting twists, such as Goldilocks and the Three Crocodiles. The children will be using these stories to help develop their imagination, language and storytelling skills.
We will also be celebrating a number of special events this term, including World Book Day, Science Week, Chinese New Year, Pancake Day, Ramadan and Eid.
In Maths, our focus will be on length and height, building numbers 9 and 10, and exploring 3D shapes.
The children will continue to enjoy Music with Mrs Higson and Dance with Coach Jess.
