Year 3

Hello and welcome to the Year 3 class page. This is where you will find all of the information about our learning this term!
In English, all of our texts this term will focus on The Stone Age. We will read Minnow and the Bear by Benedict Blathwayt, The Friendly Mammoth by Anna Terreros-Martin, How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth by Michelle Robinson and non-fictional texts about Life in The Stone Age.
In Maths, we are concentrating on adding and subtracting two- and three-digit numbers, including exchanging. Then, we will move onto multiplication and division.
This term our topic will be History and we are learning all about the Stone Age.

In our art topic, we will also be creating our own Prehistoric art.

In Science, we will be investigating rocks and soils, where the children will be able to compare, describe and recognise different types of rocks and soils.
In PE, Coach Jasmine will be covering gymnastics and Miss Quinn will teach yoga.

In computing we will look at Networks and in RE we will be thinking about what how festivals and family life show what matters to Jewish people. The children will also continue their learning in Spanish this term and they will learn numbers and greetings.
