Year 3
Hello and welcome to the Year 3 class page. This is where you will find all of the information about our learning this half term!
In Whole Class Reading, our text this term is non-fiction and will focus on Stonehenge. In writing, we will complete our unit on The BFG creating character descriptions, recipes and story settings.
In Maths, we are concentrating on adding and subtracting two- and three-digit numbers.
In History, our topic will be all about The Stone Age which our art topic will tie in with this term; Prehistoric Art. In Science, we will be investigating rocks and soils, where the children will be able to compare, describe and recognise different types of rocks and soils.
In PE, Coach Nathan will be teaching gymnastics and Mr Jacques will teach yoga. In computing we will look at Sequencing Sounds and in RE we will be thinking about what how festivals and family life show what matters to Jewish people. The children will also continue their learning in Spanish this term.
We will continue to have our music lessons with Mr Martin and Mrs Higson this half term. In PSHE we will continue our work on our own health and wellbeing.
