Welcome to the Year 3 class page. This is where you will find all of the information about our learning this term!
In English, we will start conclude our non-chronological report writing about tea, based on Cloud Tea Monkeys, written by Elspeth Graham and Mal Peet. Then, we will finish the year reading The Wilderness by Steve McCarthy with our writing outcomes such as a Guidebook, a ‘Meet the family’ character introduction, an advice letter, a SOS message and identification labels.
In Maths, we are continuing our learning on fractions and will then move on to money, time and shape.  Our art topic will also tie into our maths learning, when we move onto sculpture and 3D
shapes.
This term our topic will be History and we are learning all about the Iron Age. In Science, we will be investigating plants, and the requirements of plants to grow. We look forward to another visit to the allotment to learn more about plans, pollination and growth.
In PE, Coach will be covering athletics and Miss Quinn will teach Outdoor Adventurous Activities. In computing we will create our own book trailers and in RE we will be thinking about what how and why religious and non-religious people try to make the world a better place. The children will also continue their learning in Spanish this term with a journey through Latin America and in PSHE we will be looking at Citizenship and the rights and responsibilities of the child.
