Year 3
Hello and welcome to the Year 3 class page. This is where you will find all of the information about our learning this term!
In English, we will start the term with Roald Dahl’s BFG, writing our own fantasy narratives then, we will read The Tin Forest by Helen Ward and write our own persuasive information leaflets.
In Maths, we are continuing our learning on multiplication and division and will move onto Fractions.
This term our topic will be History and we are learning all about the Iron Age. In our art topic, we will be focusing on drawing, the use of shapes, shading, and texture in art to enhance our drawing skills.
In Science, we will be investigating animals including humans, where the children will learn about nutrition and the function of skeletons and muscles.
In PE, Coach Tom will be covering cricket and Miss Quinn will teach Dance. In computing we will look at Computing systems and networks and in RE we will be thinking about what how festivals and family life show what matters to Muslims. The children will also continue their learning in Spanish this term and they will learn classroom objects in Spanish.
