Hello and welcome to the Year 3 class page. This is where you will find all of the information about our learning this term!

In Whole Class Reading, our text this term is non-fiction and will focus on The Stone Age. We will finish off The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, and move on to Stone Age by DK. In writing, we will complete our unit on Leon and the Place Between and move on to The Wilderness by Steve McCarthy.

In Maths, we are concentrating on adding and subtracting two- and three-digit numbers, including exchanging. Then, we will move onto multiplication and division.

In History, our topic will be all about The Stone Age which our art topic will tie in with this term; Prehistoric Art. In Science, we will be investigating rocks and soils, where the children will be able to compare, describe and recognise different types of rocks and soils.

In PE, Coach Nathan will be teaching gymnastics and Miss Quinn will teach yoga. In computing we will look at Stop Motion Animation and in RE we will be thinking about what how festivals and family life show what matters to Jewish people. The children will also continue their learning in Spanish this term and they will learn numbers and greetings.

We will have music with Mr Martin and Mrs Higson this half term and will be practising our Christmas songs ready for our end of year performance. In PSHE we will continue our work on families and relationships and move on to health and wellbeing.
